1. Acceptance of Terms

By downloading, installing, or using Inquirement (the “Software”), you agree to be bound by these Terms of Service. If you do not agree to these terms, do not install or use the Software.


2. License Grant

Subject to payment of the applicable subscription fee, Inquirement grants you a limited, non-exclusive, non-transferable license to use the Software.

Annual Subscription License
Your subscription grants you access to:

  • Use of the Software
  • Installation on your personal devices
  • Software updates released during your active subscription period

Individual Use
Each license is intended for use by a single individual user. You may use the Software for both personal and commercial/business work.

Restrictions
You may not:

  • Reverse engineer, decompile, or disassemble the Software
  • Attempt to derive the source code
  • Redistribute, sublicense, or resell the Software
  • Use the Software in violation of applicable laws

3. Payments, Renewals, and Refunds

Merchant of Record
Payments are securely processed by Lemon Squeezy, which acts as the Merchant of Record and handles billing, VAT, taxes, and invoices.

Subscription Renewals
Subscriptions renew automatically on an annual basis unless canceled before the renewal date. You may cancel renewal at any time through the customer portal provided by Lemon Squeezy.

Refund Policy
We offer a 14-day refund policy for initial purchases. Additional details are available in our Refund Policy.


4. Intellectual Property & Your Data

Your Data
You retain full ownership of all requirements, diagrams, project files, and other data created using the Software. Your project data remains stored locally on your own machine.

Our Intellectual Property
The Software, including its interface, branding, architecture, and underlying technology, remains the exclusive property of Inquirement.


5. Privacy & Local Storage

Inquirement is designed as a local-first desktop application.

  • We do not upload or host your project files on our servers
  • We do not analyze your project content
  • You are responsible for maintaining your own backups
  • We only process minimal data required for licensing, billing, and support

6. Disclaimer of Warranty

The Software is provided “as is” and “as available,” without warranties of any kind, whether express or implied. We do not guarantee that the Software will be uninterrupted, error-free, or suitable for every use case. You use the Software at your own risk.


7. Limitation of Liability

To the maximum extent permitted by law, Inquirement shall not be liable for:

  • Loss of data
  • Loss of profits
  • Business interruption
  • Indirect, incidental, or consequential damages

Our total liability for any claim related to the Software shall not exceed the amount paid by you for the Software during the 12 months preceding the claim.


8. Termination

We reserve the right to suspend or terminate licenses in cases of fraud, abuse, license sharing, or violations of these Terms. Upon termination, your right to use licensed features of the Software will end.


9. Governing Law

These Terms are governed by the laws of The Netherlands, without regard to conflict of law principles
